APC banners are tear-resistant with their 1000x1000 denier (the highest denier in the industry – which gives our vinyl banner its strength) they are waterproof and fade-resistant for 5+ years outdoors. Although the banner itself is rated at 6 months to 1 year of continuous use, customers have reported that their banners still look great after 5+ years!
All of our 13oz Standard Vinyl Banners are digitally printed in full color (CMYK process) using UV-resistant inks, and finished with heat-welded hems and metal grommets as appropriate. Pole pockets may be added for an additional fee. Call APC at (800) 590-5360 for any custom finishing requests and available options.
IMPORTANT! PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING FILE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE UPLOADING YOUR FILE:
FILE FORMAT: We can accept the following file formats TIF, TIFF, JPG, EPS, PNG, AI, PSD, and PDF. Vector PDF with fonts outlined is the format that we prefer.
Our Graphics Department uses Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator only. Files should not be provided to us in Word, Excel, Publisher, or Corel Draw formats (or any formats similar to these). If you use one of these programs to create your file, you need to export or save them as PDF files. If you are unable to outline your fonts, the fonts may not appear the same when when open the files.
FILE SIZE: Uploaded file size must be 100 MB or less. If files are larger than 100 MB, please provide files on a USB drive or CD/DVD, or contact APC at 800.590.5360 to enable FTP access.
RESOLUTION: All file formats must have a minimum of 350 dpi (dot per inch) resolution at actual size. This is for rasterized files. Vector files do not have a dpi resolution.
BLEED: Bleed is the portion of the product that will be trimmed off when it is cut to the final size. The purpose of a bleed is to continue a color, image, or design to the edge of the product if these elements touch the edge. Due to the possibility of shifting in the trimming process, a bleed is required to ensure that a white line does not show on the edges of your product. We require files to be built to the full bleed dimension specified for each trim size. We automatically trim the bleed off of each side, which will result in the desired trim size.
Please build your print-ready digital files by adding the appropriate bleed to your file:
FONTS: Fonts must be outlined or converted to paths or curves in vector files and when exporting from layout applications, such as Adobe InDesign.
SAFE ZONE: All critical elements (text, images, logos, etc.) should be kept at least 0.125" inside the edge. Anything left close to edge may be cut off during trimming. Allow more for larger pieces.
BORDERS: Please do not place a border around your file to show the paper/cut edge, as shifting in the cutting process may make borders appear uneven.
